Motionlab PDX had a spot on Good Day Oregon on KPTV Channel 12 on Thursday, June 20th where Yelena Foley had Good Day Oregon’s Joe Vithayathil of On the Go with Joe, go through some of the exercises that she has her students do in her classes and private sessions. In the segments Joe does a quick run through of exercises guided by Yelena while having an experienced student in the background showing exactly what the exercises are supposed to look like. While the spot in the video is about three minutes in length and the other spots are much shorter, there is much work behind the scenes before the segments air to make the productions go smoothly and correctly live.
On the day of the shoot the crew arrived at 5:10am to begin the setup of the equipment to film the segments. At 5:45am, the first one minute and thirty second segment is shot. They continue with another one minute and thirty second segment at 6:23am. Then they do one last one minute thirty second segment at 6:53am. After an hour break at 7:53am they begin their two minute and thirty second segment. At 8:23am they film another two minute and thirty second segment. The final segment is filmed at 8:45am with one last two minute and thirty second spot.
The segments are all shot unscripted, live and with minimal preparation. Typically, they take breaks between segments and relax, ask questions, answer emails, and wait for time to pass. Yelena wanted to waste no time and give Joe V the proper Motionlab PDX training session she gives all of her clients. It is safe to say that Joe V got more of a workout that day than he bargained for. As someone who is physically fit, does Crossfit on a regular basis, and has sampled many workout facilities in his years on the go, Joe V even acknowledged that GYROTONIC® works the core and every muscle that connects to it.
